I made a Spotify playlist with the most streamed J-pop songs OAT

I made this playlist back in December bc I haven't seen anyone ever combine the 3 biggest music streaming platform (that contain data about views/streams) except for "anime songs" so I thought it would be a great idea to see which songs will be at the TOP.

Statistics and random facts that I noticed (at the time of making it):

• The only jp song to ever reach 2B streams is Lemon by Kenshi Yonezu (side note: Idol has also reached 2B overall streams in March 2025)

• There is only 3 songs that managed to reach 1B streams in one singular music streaming platform:

1. Lemon by Kenshi Yonezu – 1B+ (YouTube Music)
2. Yoru ni Kakeru by Yoasobi – 1B+ (YouTube Music)
3. Idol by Yoasobi – 1B+ (YouTube Music)

• 21 out of the 50 songs are anime songs (I expected more tbh)

Time for some random rankings:

• Latest entry: Bling Bang Bang Born by Creepy Nuts (13th)
Released: 7 January 2024
• Oldest entry: Mayonaka no Door by Miki Matsubara (43rd)
Released: 5 November 1979

• Top 5 non anime songs:
