Nestled within one of Tokyo’s business hubs, Toranomon Hills, lies a new addition to the city’s booming landscape — Hotel Toranomon Hills. Launched in late 2023, the hotel was designed by Danish design studio Space Copenhagen, and blends Scandinavian calm with Japanese elegance, creating spaces that feel at once serene and functional. Whether you’re here to work, recharge, or simply soak up the city, its warm, minimalist interiors make it easy to do all three. As part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, this Tokyo outpost stands out as one of the brand’s most impressive properties to date.
With its warm, inviting rooms and an impressive line-up of facilities, I was curious to see if this luxurious hotel truly lived up to the buzz—so I booked a stay to find out for myself.

When you’re in Tokyo, you’ll want to keep a lookout for a hotel that’s not only comfortable but also convenient– and this one does exactly that. Conveniently located right above the Toranomon Hills train station in the heart of Tokyo, Hotel Toranomon Hills makes getting around a breeze. You can travel from the airport in half an hour, whiz to popular shopping districts like Ginza and Shibuya in less than 20 and even stroll over to the Imperial Palace or Tokyo’s highly raved teamLab Borderless TOKYO, Azabudai Hills. I mean, what more could you ask for?
Food & Beverage
Aside from its convenient location, the hotel also boasts amazing F&B offerings that are truly hard to beat. In fact, Hotel Toranomon Hills is home to Tokyo’s Le Pristine restaurant, helmed by Michelin-starred chef, Sergio Herman himself.

With three Michelin stars under his belt, Sergio Herman now has three Le Pristine restaurants — the first one being his original restaurant in Antwerp, his second outpost at Grand Hyatt Singapore and the third being Hotel Toranomon Hills itself. Much like his other restaurants, the theme and the ambience echo the same vibe, for instance, the opulent melted disco balls plastered on the walls — a signature of his restaurant.

Here, you can expect contemporary European cuisine with a cosmopolitan flair that’s made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients from Zeeland in the Netherlands and fresh seasonal Japanese produce.

Staying at the hotel also has its perks as you can enjoy your daily hotel breakfasts at Le Pristine itself, of which you’ll get the option to choose from a wide variety of savoury and sweet breakfast options from their ala carte menu or help yourself to their mouthwatering buffet spread that includes pastries, fruits, and charcuterie just a few to name.
Alternatively, for those looking for more options, Hotel Toranomon Hills is also home to Le Pristine Cafe, the first for its brand, where you can indulge in fresh pastries and other ala carte dishes. It makes for a great spot for you to unwind in between meetings or even as a meeting spot to catch up with your friends for an aperitivo.
Facilities
Since Hotel Toranomon Hills caters more towards business travellers or even expats, guests will be glad to know that the hotel has its very own lounge that operates ‘round the clock.

Designed as a maisonette on two floors, the lounge doubles as a co-working space, equipped with private meeting rooms, as well as nap rooms that are great for travellers who arrive too early to check in or have late flights.

With its 6-metre-high floor-to-ceiling windows, the views from the lounge are a sight to behold as they can admire the dramatic views of Tokyo Tower while they enjoy complimentary refreshments.
Rooms
With 205 guest rooms—including 30 suites—the hotel blends style and comfort in all the right ways. The rooms feel warm and welcoming, with clean lines and subtle design touches that nod to both Danish and Japanese influences.
During the stay, I got to check out the King Premiere Room, which was located on the 12th floor.

Upon entering the room, I was immediately blown away by the unmatched views of the Tokyo Tower and the architectural tapestry of the Toranomon Hills district — an experience that I was eternally grateful to wake up to every morning and fall asleep to at night.

Sleep-wise, the king bed was a total dream. The pillows were so plush, getting up in the morning felt like a real test of willpower. There’s also a long sofa by the window—perfect for lounging while you take in the city views.
Other standout features? The hydration station, which gives you easy access to clean drinking water (such a thoughtful touch), a 55” flat screen TV with tons of channels, and B&O speakers that you can hook up to for background music while you unwind. And for those of us who need a caffeine kick to start the day, I loved that the room came with a Nespresso machine.

The same luxurious feel carries over into the bathroom. You’ll find sleek marble finishes and bath amenities from NEMOHAMO. I also liked how the sink is placed outside the main bathroom, near the entrance—so you get a separate space to get ready while someone else is in the shower.
Overall Sentiments
Staying at Hotel Toranomon Hills felt like discovering a different side of Tokyo—one that’s calm, design-forward, and quietly luxurious. While it’s located in a business district, it doesn’t feel cold or sterile at all. In fact, it offers the perfect balance between work and leisure, with plenty to explore nearby, from lush cultural landmarks to stylish new developments like Azabudai Hills.

The hotel’s unbeatable location right above the train station made getting around incredibly easy, whether I was heading to a meeting, catching up with friends in the city, or hopping over to the shopping districts. And of course, the room itself was one of the biggest highlights. Waking up to the view of Tokyo Tower each morning felt surreal—like my own little cinematic moment—and the overall comfort and design of the space made it feel like a true retreat.
If you’re looking for a hotel that blends thoughtful design, great food, and seamless convenience, Hotel Toranomon Hills definitely lives up to the hype. It’s the kind of place you check into for a business trip but secretly want to extend just to enjoy a little more of that quiet luxury.
