💯
thank you great video as always
Is caramel sand Dayo also available in Narita airport???
Thank you!
Japan has some of the best Souvenirs that I have ever seen. Also Sarah I love the details you gave us about each Japanese sweets. I need to try some of those candles when I'm back in Tokyo.
Sarah, do you think any of these items would be found in the duty free shop? I'm hoping to find a good quality sake or whiskey at the airport before I leave Japan. Showing us the seasonal items was a good idea, cherry blossom season is very popular.👍
The Press Butter Sand expired today! RIP souvenir!
Thank you for sharing and for the detailed analysis. 🎉
I'm so curious about the tokyo tamago. It's a black egg, it should be black sesame. I have tried tokyo banana, but I don't like it. I think I'm not a banana person.
Castella is a traditional Italian cake too. I think it is Portuguese too. I didn't know it was Portuguese too.
On my next trip I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the assorted Nori sheets.😯✨🤤
I'm flying to Tokyo tomorrow and will be arriving/departing Haneda T3. All these items look amazing, especially that uni nori. Great episode, thank you!
With so many available snacks options this guide is very useful for those who are overwhelmed … also love the overall ratings and thoughts at the end
One thing we will always get are the potato sticks from potato farm… it’s actually available at Donki outlets outside of Japan but they charge 2-3x more 😅
The due date on these omiyage is so important! I learned my lesson by getting multiple boxes of Toyko Banana on my first trip and realizing that wouldn't get to see my gift receivers for weeks. I gave them snack gifts that expire in a day or two. On my last trip, I was double-checking every omiyage box. Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory Cookies last for months.
Thanks for the handy list! I will forward it to my wifey who just landed..for a three-week stay with mom.
Wonderful video. Your energy and enthusiasm about the omiyage is refreshing. I'm going to Japan in 2 weeks and will buy the
Arasaka keicho sumikan. Continue your good works. Thank you.
Castella is my favorite. The Akasaka Keicho Sumikan has the famous work of art on it by Hishikawa Moronobu, Beauty Looking Back and is in the collection of the Tokyo National Museum. I know this because it's in the Nintendo Animal Crossing game.🤣
Your English is getting more nuanced and much better. As beautiful as ever.😊
Interesting. I have never seen most of them, except various brands of butter sand and castella, since I usually buy omiyage at Narita airport and 東京駅一番街. 😂
This might be a silly question but do you find all of this stuff after check in? So you have dropped off your luggage already
It was thoughtful to show the ingredient list for each product you featured. The item that I hope to get next time I’m in Japan is the Iburigakko. Another great list of souvenirs. It does seem like there’s endless things you can recommended.
Thanks for sharing the difference options, to be honest I always get overwhelmed all the boxes are so beauty and the food seems to be so tasty that I finish taking the same thing (Tokyo banana which I love) lol
BTW a cultural difference I had in Japan is that in my country when we talk about souvenirs is mostly things and food, but more things, and it took me time to realize that in Japan it was the other way around 😅
Ok Thank you! ❤My arrival next week is NRT and departure is KIX 😊
How can you be a local of an entire country?
Appreciate the great video and info. I travel to Japan 3-4x per year. Usually always Haneda. I always get Shiroi Koibito cookies (available only airside after security). I’ll try some of your recommendations. Just to clarify, these are available in the gift shops in the terminal before security? That is much easier as I can pack it in my checked luggage. I’d rather go on the aircraft unencumbered with a small carry-on/personal bag and not worry about stuffing all my omiyage in a big carry-on bag.
I was at Haneda 2 weeks ago – it was the first time id seen Tokyo banana kitkats. Of course i had to buy a pack to go with all the other flavours id gotten.
Are the stores before TSA or after and do you know at what time the closed. I’m going to Japan on May and definitely I will buy some of your recommendations. Thank you 😊
