  1. I should be in Japan early next year. Bringing the Sony 20-70 f4 G and my Ricoh GRiii but wondering if my Sony 40 f2.5 G will be sufficient for night photography there. I could bring the Sony 35 f1.4 GM instead but would prefer the lighter 40mm lens. Do you think f2.5 or f2.8 would be good for night shots there? It’s hard to tell sometimes as nighttime lights in the city can vary depending on location.

  2. Awesome, it's quite hard to take attractive photos in cloud/rainy days and you success

  3. Thanks a lot for sharing these scenery ! Enjoyed it a lot. Perhaps not every image was , but there have been some really good captures among these and the tranquil scenery and mood was making me long for Japan quite a bit again. Next year I shall be there another time – want to gon south as well, maybe down to Okinawa and Iriomote as well, would love to❤

  4. i really like the video sections, but i think they would be even better if they were fully stable with a tripod. Maybe that would be too much to carry though.

  5. The beginning of your video is exactly where I live, I am right next to Kenninji! If you're still here let me know, we can get a drink ✌🏻

  6. I’ve watched a few of your videos now and enjoyed them all—this one was especially captivating. I loved how the journey unfolded, with video snippets pre-empting the stills—it was clever and effective. The slight movement in the video added a natural, organic feel, and the still shots were superb, with excellent compositions and colors that really appealed to me.

May I ask a couple of questions? Are these SOOC JPEGs or post-processed RAWs? Did you color grade? I’m seriously considering the a7CII—it seems like the perfect street/travel FF setup, and 33MP is more than enough for my needs. I know this camera supports LUTs, but can LUTs be applied to stills in-camera so that exported JPEGs have them baked in (like Fujifilm’s approach)? Or must LUTs always be applied to RAW files in post? It would be great if custom LUTs could be applied SOOC to JPEGs.

Anyway, loved the video, thought it was very professional and the photos were really special, photographs that resonate with me = liked and subscribed.

  7. Looking to get my first camera for an upcoming trip. Which do you recommend most out of the Sony A7CII, Fuji X100VI, or Ricoh GR3/GR3X? All are very compact given their features yet in slightly different categories. Compact size on the Ricoh seems amazing but the lack of weather sealing, viewfinder, and fixed focal length worry me. The X100vi focal length doesn’t worry me quite as much but the poor autofocus does a bit. And then the Sony seems great but it’s larger size, cost, and lack of film sims turn me off it slightly.

  8. C'est la fin des bordures blanches ? Haha !

Superbe vidéo encore une fois, très reposante. La nature reprenant ses droits sur les constructions humaines (la mousse sur les pierres comme à 11:50) rend l'atmosphère incroyable.

  9. Kyushu is perhaps my favorite region in Japan! I've been there many times and I never get tired of it. Your work is awersome btw 🙂

  10. Thanks for this nice video! I just returned to Europe from a three weeks vacation to Japan where I visited some friends and places I like. Regarding your photos from Kyoto, I know some of the places where you took them exactly. I walked there just a couple of days ago. And I really like the pics and the footage from Kyushu. I have been there two times but I really need to see more of it. I hope you‘ve had a very nice trip with your family😉✌️👋.

  11. Adrien, peux tu me dire s'il y a un indicateur de profondeur de champ dans ce boitier ? Merci.

  12. beautiful! I have an a7c and the kit lens 28-60.

I'm interested in the sigma 28-70, do you think it's a worthwhile purchase even though the focal lengths are basically the same?

  13. Your videos always keep me hooked! 😅 I’ve been using a Fuji X-H2, but the autofocus has been frustrating me lately, so I’ve been considering switching to Sony. I’ve had my eye on the A7C II because I love the compact form factor, but I’m also looking at the A7 IV and A7R V as possible options. Do you think these are solid choices, or would you recommend something else?
