What To Eat in MIYAJIMA, Hiroshima — According To a Local
Miyajima, an island in Hiroshima, ranks among Japan’s most popular tourist destinations. Known for the scenic beauty of its Itsukushima Shrine (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Miyajima is home to deer that roam around its historic streets, where the comforting aroma of freshly made street food snacks fills the air.
Today, Shizuka follows the lead of Nana, a Hiroshima local passionate about the area’s incredibly rich cultural heritage, to explore the quaint alleyways, interact with local business owners, taste the famous oysters and lemons from the Setouchi Inland Sea, and even bake the famous momiji manju confectioneries from Hiroshima.

Hello friend ❤ I love the beautiful video. I hope you all had a wonderful day. 😊
Sorry but your simple smile is much more attractive than an open mouth.
Looks like time to buy new jeans.
Thanks for todays video Shizzy and JbF 😊
We stayed in Fukuoka and started an early day trip to Miyajima early Dec 24.. was very beautiful as we saw many beautiful red and yellow autumn trees as we explored up the hill beside a stream that is parallel to the route you would take to see some shrines and gardens. The further we hiked up the hill we felt more Zen as we only heard the running stream and light breeze hitting the trees. Most tourists will be at the shopping street and famous Torii Gate below
Had some delicious oysters in different styles @ Kakiya and smoky grilled anago rice bowl @ Anagomeshi Ueno… it was one of the memorable attractions during our Kyushu Trip
❣️🌹🌹❣️
This is where they filmed Wolverine? 🤔
Last time I visited Miyajima, I only had time for a grilled oyster with butter. I can still taste it! LOL! There was also a shamoji shop that featured a HUGE rice paddle in front. Is it still there? Bought a shamoji that we still use to this day!
I love seeing Miyajima and more stuff in the south
Absolutely wonderful, I hope to partake in this tour. I now have a friend coming with now and we need to coordinate things since she's never been.
