Korea-Japan Friendship Bike Tour | Special Riding for #visitkoreayear

The 1st 2023 #VisitKoreaYear Special #biketour
The Korea-Japan Friendship Ride in Korea took place on 2023.

In celebration of the Year of Visit Korea, riders from Japan brought their bicycles and traveled from Fukuoka’s Hakata Port to the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal. The ride began at the Nakdong River Estuary Barrage Certification Center, and together with Korean riders, they cycled through the Nakdong River Bike Path, which was beautifully colored by the fall season. U.S. Consul General to Busan, Barkhouse, also joined briefly for a three-nation ride.

The riders, starting from the Nakdong River Estuary Barrage, passed through Hwangsan Park and enjoyed a lunch of janchi-jajang and jjamppong in Samrangjin, exchanging stories along the way. Japanese riders, who are not as familiar with well-established bike paths, admired the well-maintained cycling roads in Korea.

Although the journey was short, lasting only 2 nights and 3 days, they relaxed in the Magumsan Hot Springs, enjoyed a Korean BBQ, bossam, kimchi jjim, and chueotang, fully immersing themselves in Korean food culture. Looking at the empty pages in their certification booklets, they promised to return to fill those stamps. Airbike will continue to work hard to provide all global cyclists with even more enjoyable and thrilling experiences.
