Day in the Life of a Japanese University Student in Tokyo

A day in the life of a Japanese University student living in Tokyo Japan. This is a Japanese College students morning routine, her daily school schedule and what she does after she finishes school in the evening. Ayuka attends Tokyo University of Science, commonly known as RIKADAI in Japanese. It’s one of the most prestigious private institutions in Japan. With seven faculties and 32 departments, it stands as one of the largest private universities specializing in science and engineering in the country. They have 3 campuses and she goes to Kagurazaka campus. In Japan, getting into a university is considered tough, but graduating is relatively easy. Not to say that university students don’t study, but rather entrance exams are so difficult that many spend years in cram schools preparing. The students who fail but desperately want to get into the school, known as Ronin, have no other option but to study and wait for next year’s exams. Among those admitted, about 82% graduate within four years, compared to say the US at around 46%.

  1. I'm awaiting another japanese cutee episode that prettier than the OG courier lady and carpenter lady. She's quite cute too but can't top those two.

  2. I always enjoy "Day in the Life" videos. Ayuka is so hard-working and has a pretty good balance between studying, working, and enjoying her day. I've always wanted to visit maid cafes myself.

  4. Not really related… but I graduated from high school not too long ago and tbh, it still doesn't quite feel real… not long ago I was chilling at school with a few casual friends and breaking my head during math classes and now I'm here trying to find out where to even begin and where to go in life… most definitely feeling the pressure.

It's to the point I took almost an entire hour to finish watching this video because I couldn't help myself from analyzing all kinds of information about money related stuff and employment even though it was in JPY rather than USD 😂😭

  5. That's a dorm room?? I'm used to 4 stuffed into a room that was originally made for 2 here in the US. Can't believe Japanese dorms have more space than American dorms

  6. Enjoyed the video! Is it just me – Paolo’s voiceover has sounded quite soft these last few videos. I usually screencast it on my TV and have to turn up the volume quite a bit. I don’t have this problem with other channels

  7. Nice move for vending machine.
    That’s awesome 🔥
Will share the location to my friends living there in Tokyo.

  8. Anyways, this is nice it makes remember my university days, I guess when your are young life is more vibrant.
Young guys, one of the best experiences in life are the university years. Those years when you meet so pretty and intelligent women like her.

  9. @Paolo- that camo jacket is dope. Can you please provide the name of the brand or link for the jacket. Thanks

  10. A friend wanted me to ask if you could ask her if she has a boyfriend already and what her Line ID is 😉

  11. In Japan, universities are not competitive and easily can be approved because of low birthrate. She also entered without examination. Piece of cake.

  12. University in Japan looks like it's amazing! I'm not naive to the difficulty these students probably experience, but the low cost of it all seems pretty impressive.

  13. Yea but the 46% includes those who are given a second chance who otherwise wouldn’t get a chance at all like in Japan… Not to mention some states like Tennessee offer 2 free years of CC…
