  1. Thank you Shinichi for the delightful walk! What is happening with the renovations for Shuri Castle?
6 years ago I travelled to Okinawa. (That's the year you, me and Satoshi went to the Mori Digital Arts Museum and you looked after me so well as I had fallen and broken my elbow!) ) One day, I had booked to go whale watching but stormy weather meant the trip was cancelled. I was disappointed of course, but I decided to go to Shuri Castle instead. This had not been on my list.
It turned out to be a highlight of my visit. I spent wonderful hours wandering round the castle and grounds. Then, tragically, a few short weeks after my visit the castle burned down! I was so grateful that I had had the chance to see it!
