From Tokyo city, we head to Karuizawa, a picturesque resort town known for its cool weather and stunning natural beauty. A highlight here was experiencing snow for the first time with my family and shopping in freezing temperature at the majestic and very large Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza.
Hakone is next on the list, where tradition and nature blend seamlessly. A visit to Hanazono Shrine offers a moment of peace, surrounded by lush greenery and historical charm. The day wouldn’t be complete without a cruise on Lake Ashinoko aboard a ship, gliding across the water with breathtaking views of Mount Fuji in the distance.

We then headed back for 2 final nights in Shinjuku, Tokyo where this very vibrant part of Tokyo filled our last few days with plenty of activities and shopping.

I think you succeeded well in showing the family trip vibes while still protecting the privacy of everyone! A lot to unpack here. 1) It sucks that you were sick while you were there. It's always worse when you are travelling, but you looked like you were having fun. 2) The food looked amazing but more expensive that I would have thought. My frugal brain was itching at the cost of some of the food. 3) How dare you have a black Ice Cream and not tell me what it was!! Haha and Finally, having 2 pirate ships and not having a naval battle seems like a lost opportunity. I was shocked that you didn't dress up as a pirate and swing from the lines. Haha

Wah the vending machine so cool. Lots of variety. Seems like it's packed with people at tourist spots. Oh the menu at Karuizawa restaurant got English
