The floating bright red orange torii in Hakone is one of the most popular photo locations in Japan. This place has long lines of travelers waiting to take a photo each day. Of course like all locations, the earlier you arrive the higher chance you have of obtaining your unobstructed photo or video. Highly recommend staying the night in a hotel close by and then walking over to the Torii during sunrise. After capturing your memories, enjoy the scenic walk along the water back to the dock. By the boat dock is a 7 eleven to pick up food prior to your commute back. Hakone is about 1 hour and 30 mins from Tokyo. A perfect day trip getaway from the city to explore and go on a new Japan adventure.
