Sapporo & Niseko Family Adventure | JR Nikko Hotel & Park Hyatt | Asahiyama Zoo, Shirogane Blue Pond

Our Ultimate Family Adventure in Hokkaido: Sapporo, Niseko, and Beyond! ❄️✨

Join us on a fun family trip to Hokkaido, Japan, where breathtaking scenery, unique experiences, and world-class accommodations await! From city adventures in Sapporo to snow-covered slopes in Niseko, this trip had it all. Here’s what we got up to:

🌆 Sapporo: A Cozy Start to Our Journey
We kicked off our adventure in the vibrant city of Sapporo, staying at the elegant JR Nikko Sapporo Hotel. The views of the city skyline were amazing, and breakfast was a feast fit for royalty. After settling in, we dove into some of Hokkaido’s most iconic sights and flavors:

Sapporo Beer Museum 🍺 – Cheers to history and hops! We explored Japan’s oldest beer brand, learned about its brewing legacy, and, of course, enjoyed a tasting session. (Pro tip: Try the beer-only sold here!)

The Freshest Hokkaido Seafood 🦀 – Sapporo’s seafood game is next level! From buttery crab to the creamiest sea urchin, every bite was a celebration of freshness. We couldn’t get enough of the bustling seafood markets, where the aroma of grilled scallops on skewers filled the air.

Asahiyama Zoo – This wasn’t just any zoo! From adorable penguins waddling by in their famous “Penguin Walk” to polar bears that kept us glued to their antics, it was a treat for all ages.

Shirogane Blue Pond & Waterfall 💙 – Is it real or a painting? You decide! The ethereal blue waters surrounded by snow-covered trees felt like stepping into a dream. Nature lovers, don’t miss this!

Ningle Terrace ✨ – Imagine walking through a winter fairy tale. This tiny village of artisan shops, tucked into the woods, felt like Santa’s secret workshop. Perfect for souvenirs or just soaking in the magical vibes.

🏔️ Niseko: Snowy Bliss in a Luxury Haven

Next, we hit the road to Niseko for the ultimate skiing experience at the renowned Hanazono Resort. Whether you’re a pro skier or a first-timer (like some of us), the powdery snow and stunning views are unforgettable. After a day on the slopes, we headed back to the luxurious Park Hyatt Niseko to relax in style.

Our room? The Park Suite with Onsen and 1 King Bed. Yes, you read that right—our very own private onsen! We soaked in the hot spring water as we gazed at snowflakes drifting outside. It was the perfect way to end an adventure-packed day.

✨ Why Hokkaido is a Must-Visit
Between the delicious food (hello, miso ramen and fresh seafood 🦀), the stunning landscapes, and the warm hospitality, Hokkaido stole our hearts. Whether you’re into wildlife, natural wonders, or adrenaline-filled snow sports, this magical island has something for everyone.
