To hunt some Japanese powder snow, I am saying goodbye to the Land Cruiser 250, my ride to the airport. A short goodbye to LC250, but one day we will make it up north together!

Hokkaido is said to be the one of the best powder snow destination on earth and we have some great runs in the mountains. I’m grateful to have shared this experience with my snowboarding and ski friends as we explored local ski grounds, hidden spots, and resorts.

The Jones Storm Chaser was a dream on deep snow—perfect for a mellow surfy feel on any slope. Turning on this board is so fun in all conditions… What a magic board.

So about Deus Powder Tools… Yes they are amazing…. If you’re looking for something different, they offer some truly alternative boards. I rode the Deus Pike 162 which I had rode in Aomori, Japan few years ago. A true flat camber board—challenging, but super fun. The Deus Mule 159 was fantastic for freestyle, but the Deus Pike 162 is definitely more of a slushy, surfy ride.

Hiking the snowy mountains of Hokkaido with old friends, sharing laughs, and shredding together—it doesn’t get much better than that.
