Mt Moiwa in Winter #Sapporo #Hokkaido #japan
We arrived at Mt. Moiwa Ropeway Sanroku Station during lunchtime via taxi, as we came from another place based on our morning itinerary. If we had traveled from our hotel in Susukino, the journey would have taken 41 minutes via tram: 8-minute walk from our hotel to Tanuki Koji Station, a 24-minute tram ride to Ropeway Iriguchi Station, and a 9-minute walk to Moiwa Ropeway Sanroku Station (the boarding point).
We were pleased to find that the queue was not long when we bought our tickets. A round-trip ticket cost 2,100 yen per person.
We had a thrilling experience on the ropeway and cable car, enjoying the outstanding view of Sapporo from the summit observation deck, even though it was covered in snow. Since we visited during non-peak hours, we almost had the observation deck to ourselves for more than an hour. This was a great perk for introverts like us, lol! Although most people recommend visiting this place at night to see the city lights of Sapporo, we have no regrets about our daytime visit.
