  1. The 24 hour medical service at hotels will be amazing!

When I visited last summer I had a medical issue. The hotel concierge spent hours on the phone trying to find a clinic that would take a foreigner. So grateful for her

  2. |🔴| I couldn't find a Japanese flag… so I improvised. Also, that Pizza Hut KitKat would be a hard pass. Sadly, I won't be back in Japan until either December of this year or August of next year; I have the yen, but saving USD for the flight and Japan rail is a work in progress.

  3. While Kanazawa and closeby Toyama (70km) both allow access into the surrounding areas, Toyama is more centrally located to explore the Noto Peninsula and the Japanese northern Alps as well as inland to Shirakawa-go and Takayama.
We split our 11-day stay in 2019 between Kanazawa and Toyama, both have great things to see & explore. Between the two we enjoyed the offerings of Toyama the most.

Gotta run 🏃🏼 …. need to book hotels for my upcoming May trip FAST 💰😅

  4. I must say I fear for the Japanese cabbage patch kids. It must be an apocalyptic situation. Course this raises the question are cabbage patch kids even a thing any more? 🇯🇵

  5. I think the theme for those really reading is planning planning and planning.

The other is this year is probably the worst year to go to the kansai region if you are not a crowd lover. The Osaka expo will draw a lot of crowd there and the surrounding key sights will be packed.

Not surprised about kitkat and pizza hut japan, they have always had the most unusual flavor combo!

  6. Randy's doughnuts are decent, but nothing really special. It's the roof of the original L.A. store that makes them memorable.

  7. 🇯🇵 a lot of good topics , especially medical care for travellers, once I got sick in 2016 and the worker walked me to the doctor nearby and told him my symptoms, medication administered , so grateful

  8. Randy's Donuts is a staple donut shop in California. It's great to see them further expand internationally. Yes, the donuts are really good and my family used to own a donut shop back in the 90's.

  9. Lucky I’m already booked for Osaka if so many people are going to visit this year. There was a cabbage shortage in 2022 also. Thanks Nathan for another great video. Lots of research there. The Hello Kitty Shinkansen is going to be decommissioned and replaced with One Piece apparently ❤

  10. Thank you for the updates, problem with over tourism is China travelling again and Japan's slow adaptation to getting back to pre pandemic levels. 🇯🇵

  11. im going to japan in september, should i book my hotels now or wait a bit for the prices to drop, thanks
