The dog’s name is Hachiko. Hachiko was an Akita dog known for his remarkable loyalty. He waited for his owner, Professor Hidesaburo Ueno, at Shibuya Station every day, even after Ueno passed away in 1925. Hachiko’s statue, located near Shibuya Station, has become a symbol of loyalty and is a popular meeting spot.
