Kanto Festival Center · Akita
The Kanto Festival Center (Neburi Nagashi Kan) recreates the atmosphere of the Kanto Matsuri along the times, with special demonstration on the weekends, such as the day of my visit.
Every August they celebrate the abundance of rice. Komachi type from Akita is well known and appreciated.
The various performing groups, carrying over 250 kanto poles, line up on the street up to one kilometer long, and when a signal is given, the poles are all raised up at once and the performers show off their skills using their hands, waist, shoulder, even their foreheads.
As many as 46 lanterns in every Kanto pole. Each paper lantern represents a grain of rice. The longest pole is 12 meters tall and weighs 50 kilograms.
竿燈まつりセンター（ねぶり流し館）では、時代ごとの竿燈まつりの雰囲気を再現しており、私が訪れた日のような週末には特別に実演が行われます。
毎年8月は豊作を祝います。秋田の小町型はよく知られ、高く評価されています。
250本以上の竿燈を担いださまざまな演者が、最長1キロメートルの通りに並び、合図とともに竿燈が一斉に上げられ、演者は手、腰、肩、さらには額を使って技を披露します。
竿燈1本につき、提灯は46個もあります。提灯1つ1つが米粒を表しています。最も長い竿燈は高さ12メートル、重さは50キログラムです。

Cada agosto celebran la abundancia de arroz. El tipo Komachi de Akita es muy conocido y apreciado.
