Jinguji Shy – why does this artist have such an enormous dislike ratio?

hello! forgive me if this is the wrong place and if i formatted this wrong, i've been awake for quite a long time 😡

so i've been trying to remember this artist from years ago, and i just now stumbled upon the song i was looking for. (the song in question: https://youtu.be/rPVW2ID4_xA ) i found it in a youtube advertisement so long ago, followed him on twitter (and he followed back?! this is irrelevant to anything i just wanted to say it lol) and then i just completely forgot about it.

but i was so surprised to see how many dislikes are on it (8.2k)… i assumed "maybe because it was an ad…?" so i looked at his other videos and they all have so many dislikes too !! https://youtu.be/le3DUmTr7sI – this one has 17.k dislikes?!

i'm just curious as to why, and my knowledge of japanese is only limited to online translations so it was difficult to search. i've been trying to look through his social media but i haven't seen anything that sticks out. with the huge amounts of dislikes all over his vids, i'm starting to think something horrific might have happened 😭😭 is it just bots? are the lyrics Bad!? like i need to know what's up…! (for my own closure i suppose)
