  1. Friends! As always, your mileage may vary, but these are amazing places we wouldn’t really want to experience in 2025 if it were our first time going. The world is a big place and there are tons of easier/less crowded alternatives.

  2. Holafly worked like a champ in Poland in September 2024. Thanks for the recommendation.

  3. Nah… there’s always some construction going on in NYC. 😅 Just suck it up and come— if you can swing it. The city is booming so residential construction alone is full-steam.

  4. I would recommend don’t travel to Europe in JUNE, July or August and go in the shoulder seasons! I was in Valencia a few days after the tragic flood (cruise) and the city itself got minimal damage but the outskirts and further out were hit hard!

  5. We went to Paris for the Olympics and the amount of tourists was WAY less than we expected. It was crowded, but in my opinion less than other times I've been there during the same period.

  6. I have already booked ly plane for New York in October…. It's a lifetime dream, so I wont postpone or cancel it.

  7. The only problems you'll encounter regarding crowds in Paris are if you blindly follow the lists of top tourist attractions. In my view, other than the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay , most of those attractions are not worth the time when there are innumerable things to do in Paris that are better than most "lists" of must dos! Going up the Eiffel Tower, for example, is a complete waste of time because the whole experience will probably cost you half a day.

  8. I booked my trip to Rome to visit in early May of 2025 before I knew it was a jubilee year. Luckily, everything is refundable but wondering if what happened in Paris during the Olympics could happen Rome in 2025. Everyone thought the Olympics would draw these terrible crowds-and stayed away- and then the opposite happened.

  9. ALWAYS helpful and so informative. I have a week in Sicily planned in Sept and want to plan a week "somewhere" before that trip. Not sure where "somewhere" might be — but want to be able to fly from "somewhere" to Palermo. Ideas??!!!

  10. My younger daughter graduates from high school next year and she is studying AP European history and wants to go to France and Italy. However, I already knew about the Rome Jubilee so maybe we can convince her to go to Venice. As for France, she is the only one in the family who has not been to Paris so I think that we will be there for maybe 3-4 days as part of a overall 10-14 day trip.

  11. Do you know if Seville, Cordoba, Granada, or anywhere in Andalusia is worth avoiding because of flood damage? I might be going there in April or May.

  12. I live in Valencia and I totally disagree with your “stay away because of the flood damage”. The city of Valencia didn’t sustain any damage at all. All of the damage was in the surrounding cities/towns/pueblos/areas. Having said that, PLEASE stay away! There are already too many tourists visiting Valencia!😊

  13. Epiphany 2026 is Epiphany. I assume that a couple of days after that it will be OK to go to Rome. Do you agree?

  14. I wished you would have listed Amsterdam in your video, my city has become a tourist inferno and it gets worse every year ! 😞

  15. Bummer could have used this video a year ago, so do you have any feel for 2026? Given the logic for Paris and Olympics does that mean Rome won’t be a place to go in 2026 given the Jubilee? While we have Italy already planned next year we are going with an open mind, but depending on how it goes we may need to do a do-over.
