Experience Japanese tuna fish auctions up close and personal | Yokohama, Japan

Are you waking up at 4am for a tuna auction? Toyosu and Tsukiji in Tokyo were the ones to go to for the famous tuna auctions but those are done from far away in a viewing gallery. In Yokohama’s fish market, they host private tours that take you on the floor to show off their ~10,000 varieties of seafood that are on offer (for wholesale!), let you watch the tuna auctions as they happen, and even feed you breakfast after.

  1. You both are great. I have been watching for awhile. My wife and I are visiting Japan in May for the 6th time. We are visiting Sapporo as a first stop, mainly because of you two, Thank you.
