Hiroshima & Miyajima Island Day Trip | Japan Travel VLOG

Join us on an unforgettable day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island, two of Japan’s most historically and culturally significant locations! We begin our journey in Hiroshima, a city that has rebuilt itself with incredible strength and resilience after the devastation of World War II. Our first stop is the Peace Memorial Park, a solemn and reflective space dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombing. Here, we explore the Atomic Bomb Dome, one of the few structures left standing after the explosion, now preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The museum and park provide a moving tribute to the peace efforts and a reminder of Hiroshima’s history.

After reflecting on the past, we hop on a scenic ferry to Miyajima Island, a picturesque destination known for its stunning natural beauty and historical landmarks. As we arrive, we’re greeted by the famous roaming deer that call the island home. These friendly animals are not shy and love interacting with visitors, adding a unique charm to the island’s atmosphere.

Miyajima is also home to one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks: the Itsukushima Shrine, known for its famous floating torii gate that appears to float on the water during high tide. The views are simply breathtaking, and it’s an amazing spot for photos and a peaceful stroll. We also take time to explore the island’s scenic walking trails, enjoy traditional snacks, and soak in the beauty of this tranquil and sacred island.

This day trip from Hiroshima to Miyajima was a perfect blend of history, nature, and wildlife, offering unforgettable experiences and memories we’ll cherish forever. Don’t miss this adventure as we discover the heart and soul of these two beautiful destinations in Japan!
