Hakodate Hokkaido Travel Motomachi Park, room tour of Villa Concordia Resort

Hakodate is one of the first ports in Japan open to foreign trade and the buildings in the
Motomachi area reflect the western influence. Hakodate is about a 2 hour ride on the
Hokuto line from Toya Station.
Inside of Hakodate Station is the Bakumatsu mural, consisting of 1,165 ceramic pieces by
artist Masayuki Nagare.

Villa Concordia is conveniently located near many of the sight seeing attractions and
provides spacious rooms that are not often found throughout Japan. The room provided
all the amenities, water and treats, coffee and grinder, and a unique sound system.
Breakfast is plentiful and delicious.
Places of visit this day is the Old Public Hall of Hakodate, Motomachi Park, Jolly Jelly
Fish inside of the Former Hokkaido Government Office, Funadama Jinja (Shrine), The
Russian Orhtodox Church.
At Hakodate Seafood Restaurant Kaijyu, there is an assortment of live seafood to select;
from Kegani and King crab, shellfish, clams, and sea squirts/cucumbers. The chef will
also prepare your selection to your preference.
At night the view from the top of Mt. Hakodate Observatory is one to remember. There is
a ropeway that provides transportation to the top and back. It is a highly popular spot, so
be patient while visiting.
