A rabbit-hole led me to this awesome Nemophila cover of a 1989 J-Pop song “Diamonds” (ダイアモンド). Recorded during lockdown – and they got the drummer from the original band (Princess Princess) to join in! Super fun song. Check out the original too, and The Nolans cover in English. All great stuff.

RE the English cover version I mentioned – lol, yes, it’s the same “The Nolans” that did the song “I’m In The Mood For Dancing”. Turns out they were quite popular in Japan, and did a few English language covers of popular J-Pop songs of the day. An interesting rabbit-hole to go down.
