Garlic oil tonkotsu ramen came from Kyushu | Kumamoto, Japan
Basically, Kumamoto ramen is straight, thin noodles, tonkotsu broth (maybe with a lil chicken too), and some garlic oil. The “mayu マー油” black garlic oil is the same as the garlic chip version, only some of the garlic is burned, and it’s ground a little finer. Both are considered Kumamoto style, though one is just a little bit less common because it’s outdated, compared to the more popular mayu version! Did you know this?
