漫步在園區內，我看到了悠閒漫步的長頸鹿、埋頭覓食的鴕鳥、憨態可掬的海豹、慵懶的河馬，以及靈活的狸子，每一種動物都展現著其獨特的魅力。置身於冰天雪地之中，觀察這些動物，更增添了一份新鮮感
最令我期待的，莫過於旭山動物園的冬季限定活動——企鵝巡遊。幸運的是，我剛好趕上了預定的時間。看著一群可愛的企鵝搖搖擺擺地列隊走過，就像一群小學生跟著老師郊遊一樣，妙趣橫生。能夠如此近距離地觀賞這些可愛的生物，實在是難得的機會
旭山動物園的動物種類繁多，園區面積也相當廣闊。除了常見的動物外，這裡還有北極熊、企鵝等極地動物，令人大開眼界。雖然這次行程時間有限，未能盡情遊覽所有展區，例如無緣觀賞到餵食北極熊的表演，但這也為我下次的北海道之旅留下了更多期待

A trip to Hokkaido wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Asahiyama Zoo. As Japan’s northernmost zoo, Asahiyama Zoo is renowned for its unique “behavioral exhibition” concept, offering visitors an unforgettable winter zoo experience. Unlike traditional zoos, Asahiyama Zoo focuses on recreating the natural habitats of its animals, allowing visitors to observe them in their most authentic state.
Strolling through the park, I encountered leisurely giraffes, foraging ostriches, adorable seals, languid hippos, and nimble raccoon dogs, each displaying its unique charm. Observing these animals amidst the snowy landscape added a touch of novelty to the experience.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the winter-limited penguin parade. Luckily, I arrived just in time for the scheduled walk. Watching a group of adorable penguins waddle in a line, resembling a group of elementary school students on a field trip, was incredibly amusing. It was a rare opportunity to observe these charming creatures up close.
Asahiyama Zoo boasts a wide variety of animals and a vast expanse. In addition to common species, the zoo also houses polar bears, penguins, and other arctic animals, making for a truly eye-opening experience. Although my time was limited and I couldn’t explore all the exhibits, such as the polar bear feeding show, it only fuels my anticipation for my next Hokkaido adventure.
The magical winter atmosphere and the vibrant energy of the animals at Asahiyama Zoo left a lasting impression. If you’re planning a trip to Hokkaido, Asahiyama Zoo is an absolute must-see.
