Non-Reserved seat Shinkansen from Kyoto to Tokyo + Standing Sleeping Pod Experience

This time, I traveled between Kyoto and Tokyo on the Shinkansen Nozomi non-reserved seat.I’ve also reported on the congestion situation, so I hope it will be helpful for those who want to reserve non-reserved seats.

When taking the Nozomi from Kyoto Station, the only stops on the way to Tokyo Station are Shinagawa, Shin-Yokohama, and Nagoya, so it felt like the train was moving along smoothly and was very comfortable.
And, of course, I arrived at Tokyo Station right on time. Amazing!
After all, if you’re not worried about money, I would recommend the Shinkansen!

Giraffennap in Harajuku, Tokyo was an interesting experience. There may come a time in the near future when sleeping standing up will become commonplace.

  1. The country that values hard work like nobody else seems to value sleep to the same degree. The sleep pod does look rather alien or even dystopian, but I think it communicates a message that sleep is important, and we neee to work on integrating rest into our schedules. work without rest makes for bad or no work.
