Otaru (小樽市) the beautiful Port City of Hokkaido : Japan Fall 2024 Series [4K]

First stop in Hokkaido was Otaru. What a peaceful port-town city with much to see and even more to eat! The walk started at The Music Box Museum that had a steam whistle clock in front of it that went off every hour blowing its steam whistle. Then we headed down the main street of Otaru which is lined with shops and food vendors. We made a right turn at the Glass Museum and then ended up at the Otaru Canal. Taking a walk along the canal we arrived at the industry like shops and restaraunts to wrap up our nice tour of the city.

Otaru (小樽市) is a city and port in Shiribeshi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan, northwest of Sapporo. The city faces Ishikari Bay and the Sea of Japan, and has long served as the main port of the bay. With its many historical buildings, Otaru is a popular tourist destination.
