Visiting Japan’s Star Shaped Fortress!
20.02.24
On my first official day exploring Hakodate, I went to check out a very interesting star shaped fortress known as the Goryokaku. It’s was one of the main places of defence in Northern Japan back in the day and housed many great battles such as the ‘search it up yourself!’ as I really cannot be bothered writing all that up. I’m not a history book… or a history buff for that matter.
It was great to step on a bit of history though. But unfortunately for me, as you can tell throughout this video and the last, my cough was getting worse. I felt very rough and sick 🙁
Also another unfortunate thing was that because it was winter, the whole place I visited looked dead and barren. It didn’t snow so it didn’t look magical, and it wasn’t blooming with cherry blossoms or green trees. I probably went at the worst time ever to visit it haha! But at least I can say I went to it! 🙂
If you like what you see, don’t forget to drop a like and subscribe to support the channel! As these videos aren’t the easiest to make. Also as always, don’t forget to watch any of my previous videos just to see how this journey started.
