  1. hmmm,… Winter weather comes from Siberia. The snow drops on the central mountains so in Tokyo it is just cold, dry wind. Haramaki are good to wear and kerosene heaters are good but will kill you if you don't open windows a bit (tourists in hotels will never see this though … ). For Christmas it is extremely traditional to attend Beethoven 9th Symphony 「第九」performance. The most important and beautiful illumination is Kobe Luminarie I think.

  2. Yes, Heat wave for this Canadian Prairie boy. I'm not as tough as @dyinggaul, so I won't be packing a kilt. I'll be in Tokyo in January so I'll be experiencing the winter. I will say that it snowed in Tokyo last February I didn't find the snow beautiful, but was a slushy mess. I do want to do an outdoor onsen with a gentile snow falling as those times are just the best. Good in the day and even better in the dark of night.

  3. I was in Tokyo 5th of febuary 2024, and before i left, i asked my buddy AfroInJapan, would i be fine with sneakers or should i bring my boots…
Nah sneakers are fine, it never snows in Tokyo -_- god was he wrong, ended up in the most snow in Tokyo in years… typical my luck. Totally fell even though im a fairly routined in snow, just not with sneakers…

  4. Hi nathan, could you please make an osaka winter guide video?like what to pack, the weather, the attraction, the transport, etc.i plan to go there in january..thank you ❤

  5. At 1:00 this is actually a really cool scientific effect. Because of the lower temperatures, less sea water evaporates into the air. Because of that lower humidity, a lot less clouds are formed meaning much sunnier days overall and an epic view of Mount Fuji! 😁

  6. Would February 1st be a good time to visit Japan? I know it will be cold, but my family wants to avoid the summers, and avoid all the large crowds that happen during Christmas and New Years Eve, so we were thinking of skipping the holidays and go Feburary 1st, when (hopefully) the crowds are small and its more quieter.

  7. Wow, I have been checking your videos because I’m going to Japan next November, and in one of your videos saw a Gibraltar postcard, I’m from La Linea. Thank you so much for your videos, they helped a lot, if I see you around I will stop you to ask you a few things! Muchas gracias!
