Whilst we absolutely LOVE visiting places like Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, here is an itinerary that shows you a different side of Japan with some of the most beautiful landscapes, culture and art there is to be experienced

We used our 7 DAY Japan Rail pass to get around Japan during this trip (Japan Railways Group)

DAY 1 (Tokyo & Niigata)
– Tokyo to Niigata
– Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel of Light
– Tokamachi City Museum
– Hayashiya Ryokan

DAY 2 (Niigata & Ishikawa Prefecture)
– Niigata to Kanazawa
– Tsuzumi-Mon Gate
– 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art

DAY 3 (Ishikawa Prefecture)
– Kanazawa Castle Ruins
– Kenrokuen Garden
– Try the famous Gold Leaf Ice Cream

DAY 4 (Ishikawa & Gifu Prefecture)
– Omicho Market
– Kanazawa to Mino
– Monet’s Pond

DAY 5 (Gifu Prefecture)
– Udatsu Wall Historical District
– Mino Washi Paper
– Mino to Nagoya
– Nagoya City

DAY 6 (Gifu & Kagawa)
– Nagoya to Takamatsu
– Takeshi Kawashima Art Factory
– Ritsurin Gardens

DAY 7 (Kagawa to Tokyo)
– Takamatsu to Tokyo
– Senso-Ji Temple
– Shibuya Crossing
– Shibuya Sky
