Chuo Shinkansen “Linier” Maglev train in Japan 500km/h!!
Back in 2010 I too the Shinkansen to Hamamatsu, an incredible experience that left me itching to experience more of Japan. I eventually moved here and have since been on the Shinkansen many times.
But Japan has a much much faster train that’s been in testing for a number of years, the Chuo Shinkansen “Linier” Maglev that can travel well over 500km/h! Most people can’t ride it yet but you can easily get to the test track in Yamanashi just outside of Tokyo where you can watch it fly past. Be sure to check their website out for information on what days they plan on running as it doesn’t run all the time.
I used my Canon 6D DSLR to get some really nice shots of it frozen in time, even though it is going 504km/h!
Unforgettable.
