Yamato Transport Hotel-to-Hotel Delivery Guide
Step 1: Check with Your Hotel Before using Yamato Transport’s service, confirm with your current hotel and the hotel you’re sending your luggage to if they accept deliveries. Most hotels in Japan offer this service, but it’s always good to verify.

Step 2: Prepare Your Luggage
Ensure your luggage is securely packed. Attach identification with your name and contact details.
Check size and weight limits. Yamato has size restrictions: the combined length, width, and height should not exceed 160 cm, and weight should be below 25 kg for most services.

Step 3: Fill Out the Delivery Form At the hotel’s reception or a Yamato service counter, you will be given a Takkyubin form to fill out.
Include your name, current hotel’s name and address, and contact number.
Provide the details of the destination hotel: name, address, phone number, and your check-in date.

Step 4: Choose Delivery Time. You can request a specific delivery date and a time slot for the luggage to be delivered (morning, afternoon, or evening).
Standard delivery usually takes 1-2 days within most regions of Japan, but it may take longer if you’re shipping between more distant areas like Hokkaido or Okinawa.

Step 5: Pay the Shipping Fee. The cost depends on the size and destination. For hotel-to-hotel deliveries, prices usually range from ¥1,500 to ¥3,500, depending on the distance and size of the luggage.

Step 6: Luggage Collection The hotel staff or Yamato service personnel will take your luggage and handle the rest. Your luggage will be tagged, and you’ll receive a tracking number.

Step 7: Track Your Luggage You can track your luggage using the Yamato website or app by entering the tracking number from your receipt.

Step 8: Receive Your Luggage Your luggage will be waiting at the destination hotel when you check-in. Inquire at the reception desk.

Additional Tips
Time Your Delivery: Send your luggage at least 1-2 days in advance to ensure it arrives on time, especially when travelling between distant cities.
Keep Essentials: Pack a small bag with essentials, as you won’t have access to your luggage during transit.
Insurance: Yamato Transport includes basic insurance in the shipping fee, but you can request additional coverage if you’re shipping valuable items.
With Yamato Transport, you can enjoy travelling light and stress-free while your luggage is transported seamlessly between hotels!
