Walking Tour: Kyoto Imperial Palace & Nishiki Market 🌸🏯

Explore the rich history and beauty of Kyoto in this walking tour of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, Kyoto Gyoen National Garden, and the bustling Nishiki Market!

The Kyoto Imperial Palace served as the residence of Japan’s Imperial Family until 1868, when the capital was moved to Tokyo. The current palace was reconstructed in 1855 after multiple fires and relocations. It’s situated within the Kyoto Imperial Park (京都御苑, Kyōto Gyoen), a large and scenic park in the heart of the city, which also includes the Sento Imperial Palace and other historical landmarks.

After exploring the tranquil gardens and imperial history, I visit Nishiki Market, Kyoto’s famous food street, filled with local delicacies and unique shops!
