Prettiest Torii gate in Japan called Sakurai Futamigaura | beach and brunch

I finally found the prettiest Torii Gate in Japan that sits in the palm of the calm water of Sakura Beach. This white Torii Gate is called Sakurai Futamigaura and the scenery perfectly blends with the clear blue sky and the crashing sound of beach wave. Perfect combination just like your bread and coffee during morning. We also found a nice cafe by the beach and tried their burger for brunch.

Ever dreamt of exploring Japan on your own? Without a guide or group tour? I did, and Fukuoka turned out to be the perfect destination for my first solo adventure.
From the bustling streets of Tenjin, where I indulged in a bit of retail therapy, to the serene beauty of Futamigaura beach, where I found peace amidst a surfing spot and cafe, Fukuoka has it all.

I discovered hidden gems for amazing secondhand and brand new luxury bags, Seiko watch, Omega, Orient and more! For sure, history and culture moves in a ballad here but let’s not forget the food! I feasted on ramen, yakitori, and the nicest mocchi. It was a culinary adventure like no other.

Whether you’re a shopaholic seeking the latest trends or a nature lover seeking tranquility, Fukuoka has something to offer. Join me on this solo journey and discover why this vibrant city is a must-visit destination if you want something more than the Japan golden triangle!

I am actually baffled by the reality that no one is talking about this white Torii gate in Japan and by far the prettiest that I saw. I am talking from my personal perspective and I will stand to that take. This white Torii Gate is constantly getting challenged by the sea waves every second just like some relationships out there. They called it Sakurai Futamigaura and the romantic part in the story would be the two rocks behind the Torii gate. The locals called them Couples Stone. I feel like it has a league of its own because during sunset, the sun perfectly aligns in the middle of the two stones while the pretty white Torii Gate supports the entire scenery just like a marriage officiant during a lovely beach wedding.

It seems like it is a surfing spot in Japan because on our way to this place, there are surf shacks alongs the way and surf boards are up!

One more thing that I can’t deny in this place is the number of cafes and restaurants. I forgot how many are there but one stood out from crowd in my take. Well, no one is falling in line and there are locals inside. I ended up having my brunch inside this random cafe in Japan called Hona cafe.

Burger for brunch? Why not!
