Most tourist try ramly burger at the end jalan alor. It isnt the best, especially when theyre greedy to suggest double beef cheese special.. the most expensive I think.
whilst the best ramly for 1st timer should try normal beef burger single patty.
some ramly stall also cut patty into half to make it well done (the original style in 80’s) but some says it is not juicy enough. then turn out to be uncook/raw they said.
The mixture of sauces make the stall distinguish with the same patty supplied. therefore locals could identify which is the best. compare to foreigner or tourist who do not want this sauce or that sauces or without vege etc..

i'm malaysian but just for a simple advice: next time when you or your friends buy this nonsense messy Ramly burgers.. tell the maker for not put so many sauce_ in malay you say "sos satu line" only. you will be not experience all these messy saucy sauces.

The ramly burger singapore story is fake.. You can get ramly in singapore.. The story you tell was spread by racist chinese singaporean. Halal cert is higher standard than regular food safety standards. The preparation for the dish is However depends on the vendor. Some food vendor in singapore also practice poor hygiene how do you think they are perfect? A lot of food chain struggles to get halal cert in Malaysia even they been trying for half a decade. They don't even sell pork

6:14 It was not about the hygiene of the patty, it was merely about each country's bureaucracy on agri sourcing and preferred choice of source country.
In Ramly's case, it is mainly due to no application for a license from the Singapore authorities to distribute their products.
In addition to not having a license, Ramly’s beef supply is purportedly from India and the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) does not recognise beef imports from India. That's all. While the meat import from India is recognised by the authorities in Malaysia, it is not in Singapore.
I believe every countries have their own jurisdiction on this matter, please do not give the impression of "it's probably unhygienic".
Every food vendor and manufacturers in Malaysia have to get typhoid injection and are required to follow strict regulations before they are allowed to sell any food products to customers, street vendors included. And for food manufacturers, there's audit from multiple authorities to ensure everything is compliant, from sourcing, production, hygiene, halal certification even the pollution if any (including noise pollution or air pollution, etc).
