I Flew Japan’s #1 Business Class Airline for 12 Hours ANA The Room
Business Class Flight Review of ANA The Room featured on their Boeing 777-399ER plane currently flying from Tokyo to 4 cities; Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and New York City. The Rooms are designed in a 1-2-1 configuration, and each room has a lie-flat bed and enclosed for your own privacy and a width of 38 inches (96.5cm) which is actually enough to sit 2 smaller people like Maiko and Wolfy so quite a bit of space for just someone like me. It’s got a 24 inch 4K touch screen which can be paired to your mobile device so you can control the screen from your phone. Also, there is a playstation-like remote control as well. Finally, the seat also offers some goodies in an amenity bag. Also, the center two seats can be used like a twin suite by lowering the center partition, and that’s where Maiko and Wolfy are seated. Wifi is also free as business class as they provided me with a voucher code to enter and connected to the World Wide Web of Life. When the seat is laid flat it’s about 183cm (72inches) in total length which is more than sufficient for me to lie down completely straight. A great 12 hour experience to fly with the family from Tokyo Japan to New York USA. Thank you to ANA for inviting us to fly with them.

That aeroplane food looks nicer than what's served in some fine dining restaurants.
Got to fly in The Room once from JFK to HND, they offered us $400 upgrades. Best experience of my life. It was a 2am flight so they were selling the empty seats. Went back to Japan a few times and they never offered that deal again 🙁 (I ask every time too)
Nothing screams “having too much money” than having a toddler in business class.

You could never go wrong with any Japanese airlines.
Sorry to correct you, but it's Boeing 777-300ER and in ANA's case it's B777-381ER as 81 is Boeing's customer code for ANA. I flew in The Room from HND to ORD as well. You didn't mention it and maybe not all -300ERs flying into Chicago have The Room.

Going to take the room this coming December actually. They finally open up The room and the suite again on the SFO route from the West Coast after 2 months of looking. Sadly haven't seen the LA route open again which is closer to me. So going to layover in San Fran to Narita.

How is a flight from LA to NYC 6 hours but a flight from Tokyo to NYC is 12 hours.
Damn. All that looks really, really good! And that food legit looks like a high-end restaurant. I imagine the prices are pretty high for that level of amenities, food, and service, but it looks like you get your money's worth.

I flew on a Taiwanese airline EVA Air last year when I traveled from Tokyo back to Toronto. The business class experience was very similar to this video (it was excellent). ANA's flights are known to be pretty coveted so if anyone reading this is interested and can't get on ANA, consider EVA.
