Personally their sound is quite distinct, I think vocals is the highlights here with the guitar just a little below to it, doesn't mean that their bass doesn't have some lights.
Female voc, as for the genre actually I dont know, sometimes it sounds alternative rock, sometimes it sounds shoeg + dream pop, I don't maybe some sort of mixture of those (honestly I don't know, please correct me).
