【歩きたくなる村】新庄宿(Shinjoshuku)/岡山県真庭郡:Maniwa District, Okayama, Japan

I took a walk in Shinjoshuku, Maniwa district,Okayama, Japan.
During the Edo period, Shinjo-shuku flourished as a post town on the Izumo Kaido road connecting Sanyo and Sanin. Even today, people still live here, preserving the quaint townscape, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of each season, such as cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and snowy scenery in winter.
There are waterways on both sides of the street, and the gentle sound of the babbling water has been selected as one of the “Top 100 Soundscapes of Japan” and “Top 100 Fragrant Landscapes of Japan.”
