Exploring SUKHOTHAI Ancient City the BEST Way 🇹🇭

Welcome to the Ancient City of Sukhothai! In this video we will take you with us and show you how you can best explore the first capital of the Siam Kingdom. Along the way we will tell you the entry fees, where to visit, and why you should consider riding a bike around Sukhothai.

To get to Sukhothai from Bangkok, we booked a bus at Mochit bus terminal that took us on an 8 hour drive into the north of Thailand. Upon arrival, we had several options on how to explore Sukhothai. You could simply take a tuktuk to the entrance and walk around. You could also book a tour where you will be guided through the history of the area and what each temple was used for. We are on a budget though, so we decided to rent out some bicycles for a cheap price and explore the Sukhothai on two wheels.

Be warned though that if you also choose to ride a bike, the day can get very hot and humid. I’d like to think we have acclimatised a bit by now so it wasn’t insufferable, but that was mostly due to us taking advantage of the shade, having regular breaks and this was also because the roads were flat.
