This made me not want to come back (Tsukiji) #japantravel #japanesefood #tsukiji #shorts

We went to Tsukiji Market, super excited to go. It’s been years since I was back. It was once the bustling heart of Japan’s seafood trade and one of the world’s largest fish markets. Visitors could explore a vibrant maze of specialty stores and stalls offering fresh seafood, sushi, and unique Japanese food items. While the wholesale market has moved to Toyosu, the outer market remains a lively hub where you can still experience its rich culinary heritage and sample delicious street food… or so I thought.

To be completely transparent and honest, the market was filled with tourists, and the prices there were foreign. 6700 yen for a wagyu skewer? 3400 yen for a bowl of salmon? 5100 yen for a pile of uni on a shiso leaf with minced crab? yeah no thank you. There might be some people who would compare these prices to their home country and think, yeah that’s pretty cheap. And to those people, go for it. please help our dying economy, but compared to what i could elsewhere, I found it a joke. But to everything, there are exceptions. I’ve listed a few places that I would go back to. Places that my friends and I still look back at fondly so I’ll put them here for anyone interested.

  1. I try to be transparent with everything. Just because its gone viral doesn't mean it's good, correct, or morally acceptable. This is my channel, I get to be myself here. So if I was disappointed, I will say I was. Feel free to disagree.
