5 mile long riverside Sakura path with mountain views in Miyagi! [Hitome Senbonzakura, 白石川堤一目千本桜]

This week we visit a few sakura places! Since we are following the blooming times, our journey path looks wild! First we visit Sendai’s Sakura Matsuri at Tsutsujigaoka park on April 7th. This was a big event with so many people having their spring hanamis! (Picnic) we travel down back into Fukushima for a blooming sakura tunnel in Tomioka town on April 8th. Finally we return to Miyagi for Hitome Senbonzakura and Funaoka Castle park on April 11th. We were very excited for this place and waited until it was in full bloom to visit. Sakura trees are lined up for 5 miles straight along the river! The castle park also has incredible views of the town and river. It wasn’t a sunny day but we could still see the snow top mountains in the distance with the sakura. The trees here are very old and have been maintained for a long time. Out of everywhere we went to in this video we recommend this spot the most! But be prepared for a lot of walking (a beautiful sakura filled walk!)
