Getting lost in Japan’s backroads led us here. And it ended up being our most memorable meal to date.

4 hours from Tokyo, deep in Gifu Prefecture, you will find a lovely restaurant, Iwananosato Kai. Situated above the Tsukechi River.

To get here, you have to cross the river via suspension bridge. Which was so frkn cool!

Not only that, but the food here is incredible
Its a set menu that includes 30 different menu items.

Including their own farmed fish, root vegetables and even a fern! This entire place is a work of art. From the food, to the views, and even a waterfall!
Well worth the 3000 yen.
