Kumano Nachi Taisha is a famous Shinto shrine located in Nachikatsuura, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. It is one of the three Kumano Sanzan shrines, along with Kumano Hongu Taisha and Kumano Hayatama Taisha, which are central to the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes. This shrine is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range.”

Kumano Nachi Taisha is renowned for its spiritual significance, blending Shinto and Buddhist traditions, and is dedicated to the worship of nature, particularly Nachi Falls, Japan’s tallest waterfall at 133 meters, which is considered sacred.
