First time visiting Tokyo during sakura season in 2023 and I was overwhelmed with tourists flocking to parks. I decided to get out of central Tokyo one morning and ended up in Kawasaki.
I love the experience – the relaxing atmosphere, sitting and blending in with the locals while thinking about life, in general.

Oh, I was there during sakura season in 2023 too, perhaps we were there at the same time. =)
I didn’t go to Kawasaki, though – spent most of the trip hanging around small-town Yamanashi Prefecture, and Takasaki in Gunma. Aside from making a deliberate point to visit Ueno Park, the only time I felt overwhelmed by tourists was a day trip to Kamakura.
