A house tour of our traditional Japanese house: ‘Kinnoma’ machiya house! ‘Kinnoma’ is a renovated private holiday house (vacation rental) located in Kanazawa city, Japan, just a short walk to Omicho Market and the Higashi Chaya Teahouse District.

Slide open the wood lattice doors to reveal sky-high ceilings, decorated with traditional washi lanterns, a spacious kitchen and dining room. Relax in the Japanese-style room, or the comfortable sofa seating as you enjoy a view of your private garden. A modern bathroom complete with a hinoki wood bathtub and rainfall shower will allow you to relax in luxury.

Upstairs, find 2 classic Japanese tatami bedrooms where futon beddings will be set during your stay. An additional shower room and toilet are also available for your convenience.
