6 years of my Japan knowledge in one video… 🧘‍♀️🇯🇵

I tried to make a good starting point for people’s research while touching on some stuff that may not be obvious to people at first 🥸 Of course it’s not everything, but I hope this is a good base for people~ I have traveled all over Japan since moving here of course, but I also visited a few times before moving here 🥰

(btw, good luck w natlan ! may you win your 50/50s)

  2. Great vid as always. Coming to Japan for the 1st time in November and exploring Kansai, starting from Tokyo. Staying very close to Tamachi station in the latter, I actually cancelled my reservation for a hotel in Shinjuku when I was looking at the Shinjuku st.'s map and I was like "no, nope, not doing that twice everyday". Any tips for the Tamachi area greatly appreciated, keep making great content. <3

  3. It’s funny that everyone assumes that you’re gonna fly into Japan. When I come back to visit, I’m coming on a cruise. It docks in Yokohama and I assume you just take the train into Tokyo from there. Or I might take the ferry from Korea. But nobody ever mentions ever coming over on a ship. It is not as common, but I wish somebody would do a video on this. It would be helpful because not everybody flies. 🚢 ❤
And I still have memories of being shoved on those trains as a child. During rush hour So yeah I recommend don’t bring your kids on those trains lol it’s little traumatic. Not really , but fun times. 🚆 ❤

  4. Thanks for this really useful information. I’m coming next May with my best friend and we are so excited to be planning our itinerary 😂 We are in our 60’s but will definitely be rocking kimonos at some point.

  5. For our last trip, I was with my then 3 year old, so we stayed in a more quiet neighborhood Akasaka and it was perfect. It was close to Roppongi so if we wanted some more attractions and dining it wasn't far, but it was much more chill in the evenings. I was also able to get all the promo items with purchase for Cardcaptor Sakura and Pokemon from Lawson and 711s in the area since there didn't seem to be as many people lol! We stayed at a MIMARU brand hotel which was nice – it was more like a small apartment with a little kitchenette and two rooms, which worked well for our group (myself, my husband, our son, and my mom). For some other portions of the trip, we got two rooms with 2 beds each so that we would be on the same floor as each other (since it didn't seem like the mix and match room types that much by floor). Japanese hotels don't seem to have many "king size" beds for two people, mostly double beds.

  6. We stayed in the backstreets of Akihabara and quite liked it: the neighborhood has enough to see and do, restaurants and, most importantly: Akihabara station is well-connected but it is not a zoo! I would never stay around Shinjuku or Shibuya station because those two stations are too much to deal with every day.
