Visit Edo-period Japan just 1 hour away from Tokyo | Kawagoe, Japan
Kawagoe is less than an hour from Tokyo, and is full of so many things to do that it makes for a perfect day-trip, especially if you can’t make it to Kyoto. It has old-timey streets, plenty of shopping and street food, and you can rent kimono and yukata there, too.
Kawagoe is famous for sweet potatoes, so make sure you visit some of the local shops selling sweet potato goods and pick up a few things to try or take home!

Ehh?? I didn't know this place existed!! The area looks charming from what I can see briefly and CHOPSTICKS?! What's the train line to get there?
those red sweet potatoes look so deliciously plump. it's about time for some fall sweet potatoes roasting (and cake, and all other kinds of desserts!)
