Hello! In the '80s and '90s in Seattle my dad used to buy big slabs of vacuum-sealed brown rice mochi. It was almost exactly like this, except it didn't come pre-sliced and individually wrapped. Just one solid square.

Does anyone know if the old-school style still exists and can be purchased in the U.S.? I just want to cut down on my plastic waste!

    From what I remember, it was made by Eden and sold at health food stores. It was usually in the cold case with the tofu and tempeh and seitan.
