Nagannu Island – Must visit remote island in Okinawa 🇯🇵! Room tour a super spacious & comfy hotel 🤩😍

In 2024 early summer, we took a short trip to Okinawa, Japan. Our main goal was to visit a couple of remote islands in Okinawa that were famous for their crystal clear, turquoise color water!

Here you can find all the info about the places we shared in the video.

Great location, clean, spacious, comfy, and super affordable! Highly recommend this hotel suite!

📍Nagannu Island
Where to book tickets: http://www.nagannu.com
We reserved our ferry tickets directly on their website. Klook may also have packages available. Be sure to book early because the number of boats and seats are very limited!
For what it’s worth, the website is not fully localized in English. So you might want to use Google translate to make sure the booking info is correct.

The total price for the 4 of us (adult price) is ¥25,200 Japanese Yen, including the curry rice lunch on the island.

ON THE DAY OF THE FERRY, be sure to arrive at least 30 mins before the departure time and go to
📍https://maps.app.goo.gl/adhnsWc38YdABZkW7
On the north shore of Tomari Port, on the 1st floor of a yellow 3-story building, look for the “Nagannu Island” sign. Go inside the building and show the QR code/confirmation email of your booking to the staff and pay for the tickets.
Once paid, they will direct you to the waiting area across the street with the physical tickets.

A staff will call for people going to Nagannu when it’s about time. There is bathroom in the waiting area.

The departure and return times are fixed. e.g. our departure time is 9:20am and the return time is 2:50pm. Japanese people are super punctual so be on time to catch the departure and return boats!

You can sign up for water activities once arrive at the island. There is also a snorkeling tour after lunch where they will take you on a boat to snorkel out in the ocean.

The speed boat ride wasn’t as bumpy as I thought, but I took a motion sickness pill 30 minutes before took off and I felt completely fine. 🙂
