Hi Kevin, I’d recommend you to give Starlux’s A350 route a go someday. I used my miles to redeem a business class ticket from Singapore to Taipei few months ago, it was really nice.

You just can't go wrong with JX – especially for me myself as an Alaska Mileage Plan member soon to achieve MVP. Took them SFO-TPE-SIN vv and I have a hard time picking the best flight out of 4 because all 4 were so, so, good. They made me feel guilty of overglorifying Japanese carriers.

Kevin,why don't you buy some better equipment? May i suggest DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Compact, better camera then your phone, much better audio and many other features. Would improve look and feel of your channel significantly. 🙏

JX is truly next level. Hope you get to try them long haul on their A350. Their level of attention to detail is unmatched.
Starlux’s attention to detail re:catering is really intense. On long haul, they even plate the dessert differently depending on which main menu you order. Different plate and different presentation as well. It’s WILD.

I think Cathay Pacific have to improve very fast because Starlux and Japanese airlines are taking up very quickly. I really love this airline because they have premium quality on every plane from a320 to a350.
Thing about Taiwanese airline is that they embrace their own Taiwan brands from the PJs on EVA air and the choice of drinks/food/cocktail on STARLUX airline. If I remember correctly they got someone from dreamworks to make their safety video
Despite being a relatively new airline, Starlux offers absolutely plush and refined services on their flights. Superb video as always Kevin!
So happy finally seeing you flying JX. I had 2 flights with them: J KULTPE and Y NGOTPE. Both positive, the KULTPE flight actually amazing, same experience as u. They went above and beyond and provided an amazing service. Still daydreaming about the tea based drink they have en carte. NGOTPE was a solid flight, the food was nothing special, but else was good. Issue was with my wife and her family, they were all booked in J on the NGOTPE flight (miles redemption) and, dunno what mess the base at NGO made, but basically they loaded only 2 J meal for 8 pax! Well, it may happen u say, but the silliest thing was the solution suggested by the purser: "since u r all family, can't u just share the meal?"… We were all speechless, my wife vowed never again to fly JX (even cancelled her JX cobranded card). I will still fly them, had very good experiences so far, overall the product is excellent already, but lounges and online system r still very much the worst points for them. Looking forward to trying them long haul too, but rarely going to the states, so will wait for the first route to Europe! Cheers mate, keep up the amazing work!

Correct me if I'm wrong but if Starlux joins OneWorld, TPE would be only the second airport on the planet with all three alliances hubbed there, right? I can only think of LAX in terms of other contenders. Even in big cities like NYC, United is hubbed at a different airport than Delta and AA. And no other country on the planet I know of has all three alliances represented in their airlines.

I have return flights BKK – HKG – MNL booked with them next year specifically so I can get into the Pier 1st class lounge with my BA gold card. If I can't do that, I'll feel more foolish than I do already about not booking non stops on TG or PR! 😂Starlux can join OW any time it likes – wow!

Kevin — we LOVE your videos. AND, please learn how to use the French term "forte." The way you keep saying it is: for-tay, as though the final é is accented. BUT — in this video's statement you said that something is not your "forte." Well that use of forte is as a NOUN, WITHOUT the accented é . Whereas, something something is "too strong, too loud, etc.," forté (with the accent) is an ADJECTIVE. Le chene etait trop forté de couper (the oak tree was too strong to cut). I know, I know, "everybody" (us clueless Americans) say "forté" for everything. Well, it makes my teeth ache to hear you say it wrong! Jest saying!!! Correct: "That just wasn't my FORT." Voila
