This is advice for anywhere. Maybe give Japan specific advice like they'll ostracize you for being a foreigner and ban you from many establishments for it. They're also one of if not the most, xenophobic countries on the planet and have a dying population because of it. Likewise because of their history of war crimes (that they still deny) nearly every other Asian country has beef with them.

All in all, don't go to Japan. It's vile.
